Regional Field Engineer

 

If you are a forward-thinker interested in drafting, then keep reading! We are searching for an analytically minded, problem solving Field Engineer to join our GAL team at Vantage Elevation.

The Field Technical Support position telephone and-on site customer support for all GAL and HW products.  These support functions include trouble-shooting and repairing equipment, new product installation issues, assistance to customers during acceptance test and customer training. Additional duties include manual updates and feedback to the R&D group regarding product deficiencies, ideas for improvements and / or new products and customer feedback.

 

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An associates’ degree in computer science or engineering 
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience in similar role.
  • Ability to exercise creativity and innovation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Analytical, math, and problem-solving skills highly preferred
  • Exceptional work ethic, time management, and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include: 

  • handling technical support requests on all GAL manufactured elevator equipment.  
  • provide updates and feedback to the R&D group regarding product deficiencies, ideas for improvements and / or new products and customer feedback.
  • Answer tech support calls when in the office.
  • Create and update cases and help desk tickets.  
  • Request engineering changes and warranty parts
  • Provide onsite technical support and training when required.
  • Notify the Technical Support Director if assistance is required in conducting customer training events.
  • Provide tech support team with feedback and suggestions for product improvements.
  • Assist in the RSC when necessary
  • Extensive visits to job site installations and our test tower facilities 25%-50% of the time

Position Details

  • Full time
  • Day shifts, generally 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Based in Dallas, Texas with travel to Louisiana, San Antonio, and Austin
