Sales Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Must develop a core understanding of Spencer products and their related applications
  • Interprets order requirements to coordinate assignments.
  • Accurately complete high volume of order entry activity
  • Prepare high volume of technical quotes and log/maintain customer opportunities.
  • Reviews specifications and/or additions and discusses with appropriate department.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction for established accounts
  • Handles customer requests for assistance or complaints and initiates response and/or takes corrective action as required.
  • Works with Drafting to ensure accuracy of drawings.
  • Responsible for original margins set and advising when of increases/decreases are needed
  • Develops project time estimates and product cost comparisons, may assist in determining proper materials
  • Identify opportunities for improved lead time
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or directed

 

Experience Required:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, project management experience needed; ability to interface with all levels of engineering, procurement, and operations.
  • Ability to Read and Pay Attention to Detail with Large Specifications, Schematics, Technical Drawings, and Blueprints
  • Rotating Equipment Experience a plus
  • Familiar w/ AutoCad and Able to Read/Review 2D/3D Drawings
  • High Competency w/ Microsoft Office Products: Word, Office, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe, and Access
  • Dedicated Work Ethic and Willing to Work the Hours Commensurate w/ a Sales Position
  • Technical Competence with a Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude
  • Some travel will be required, at most 5 to 10%
  • Experience with Engineered Multistage Blowers and Vacuums and/or Engineered High Speed Blower Technologies a plus

 

Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred
