Administrative Assistant – Customer Service

**This is a temporary, full-time position with the potential to move to permanent, full-time. The temporary position will go through Walker Business and Staffing Services, Inc.**

Role Summary/Purpose:

This position provides administrative support in the Olean customer service department.  This includes working with CSR staff to help with order processing and other EPICOR transactions as needed, typing memos and entering data into spreadsheets, processing paperwork and filing, and assisting with logistics and shipping activities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Process and enter customer orders into EPICOR ERP system. Perform other transactions as needed.
  • Answer, screen, or forward calls; providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
  • Assist with logistics and shipping activities. Process paperwork and help track split shipments.
  • Create and print fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support for all departments as needed.
  • Performs other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
  • Provide receptionist support for all visitors, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be able to accurately type 45wpm.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Professional telephone protocol and the ability to operate multi-line phone/ switchboard.
  • Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Education Requirements:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 - 5 years office experience preferred.
