SUMMARY: The Materials Associate is responsible for ensuring that adequate levels of supplies and meat are driven into the facility to ensure that the plant can run effectively. Multi-tasking prioritization effective and accurate completion of tasks are required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily Monitoring of Materials Requirements PO s- Submission

  • Updates Buyer Messages Management of Daily Deliveries Supplies

  • Reconciliation of materials receiving issues Generating Daily Delivery Schedule Outputs

  • Fulfilling the Claim Process for Supplies or Meats Filing Claims Ensuring Timely receipt and follow through of credit process Timely Disposition of QA Hold Products QA Hold Slow Moving Obsolete Submission

  • Follow through of Claims Effective Communication with Vendors Forecasts Overages

  • Shortages Work Cross-Functionally with Projects Invoice Management E-Buy Filing Use Partner Links for inventory management ie. Bemis PCA Upkeep of Product Spec Books

  • Any other duties as needed

In the absence of the Shipping Supervisor, the Associate Materials Manager will fill this position and perform all other duties such as (or up to):

  • Scheduling and performing forklift test for team members

  • Unloading new forklifts

  • Upkeep of the offsite warehouse

  • Tracking inventory and assisting with scanning of materials

  • Assisting with the loading/unloading of material as needed

  • Creating process orders

  • Accounting for over and shorts as they appear

  • Maintain the logbook for receiving

  • Workday functions and disciplinary actions for team members

  • Any other assigned duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: 2 Year Degree Preferred or equivalent experience in Materials or Logistics

Experience: Minimum 1 year in materials or logistics

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with all levels of management good comprehension skills and the ability to work in a fast multi-tasking environment.
