Description

The Sales Analyst will function a project manager reporting directly to the Sales Section Manager.  They will support IAF’s sales functions, maintains and expands assigned customers, and provides information to customers and potential customers, business detail by performing the duties below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND

  • Represents the company to potential Tier I and Tier II customers through telephone conversation, face-to-face presentation and/or other forms of communication.
  • Act as main and initial customer contact at IAF and couple the customer with the appropriate IAF department(s).
  • Arrange/encourage customer visits to IAF and notify the appropriate IAF departments of such visits.
  • When an inquiry is received, coordinate the internal calculation of the quoted price, and perform functions needed to validate or calculate the price and ensure prompt reply to customers with necessary follow-up.
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.
  • Internally coordinates and communicates customers’ needs to the appropriate IAF departments, and act as a liaison between IAF and customer.
  • Issue appropriate paperwork once order is received from customer, and then obtain all necessary information and confirm acceptance with the customer.
  • Coordinate start-up of new programs at IAF and arrange involvement of appropriate IAF departments until start of production.
  • Participate in product simplification and standardization to broaden customer base and maximize profit.
  • Track and maintain purchase orders received from customers.
  • Track, confirm, and follow-up on sample shipments to customer prior to start of production.
  • Compile, create and maintain statistical reports and graphs. In doing so, generate reports, budgets, exchange rate profit/loss, sales results and forecast.
  • Participate, present and record minutes of sales meetings as needed.
  • And of course, other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in marketing, mathematics, marketing, business, or related field. 2-5 years’ related experience in sales or automotive. The equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business data and technical parts manuals.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals/documentation.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and customers. Computer programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite, are regularly used to communicate and gather information.  Fluent in English.  Japanese as a second language is helpful.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Desire to proactively and collaboratively work toward solutions with cross-functional team input.
