WSPA a Nexstar Media Group station in Greenville/Spartanburg, SC is in search of a dynamic Sales Manager to take our digital revenue to the next level. As divisions within the Nexstar Media family, our Broadcast and Digital Divisions are a part of one of the nation’s fastest growing local media companies. We are looking for a leader to join our successful team.

As a member of the Nexstar team, the Sales Manager will be an expert in local digital and cross platform sales, have a solid understanding of the local digital marketplace, and be knowledgeable about how to effectively package our digital assets to maximize our digital advertising and digital marketing services revenue. The successful candidate will work directly with and lead a team of Account Executives, along with a local support staff to provide solutions for local businesses and /or advertising agencies in a consultative, creative, and focused approach. This position will be the digital subject matter expert on the team.

Candidates must have a curiosity to understand client needs and a desire to build professional relationships while bringing value to clients, helping to simplify their digital marketing with your recommendations.

• Reports to the Director of Sales and leads a team of sellers in developing

and executing sales Strategies

• Drive local revenue growth and increase revenue share for the station

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, driven digital sales experts

• Develop and execute go-to-market sales strategies by verticals

• and by accounts

• Attend sales calls and grow digital business

• Develop marketing solutions across multiple platforms

• Identify the developmental needs, train, coach, and mentor

• Close business and meet revenue goals

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work related

experience preferred

• Prefer a minimum 3 years’ of experience leading account executives

preferably in the broadcast or digital field

• Knowledge of digital ad technology, online ad serving, ComScore and

Google Analytics

• IAB and/or Google AdWords Certification a plus.

• Experience with Wide Orbit, Matrix, Strata, Simmons and Rentrak are a plus.

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
