POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Analyst will work as a member of the Supply Chain to extract, analyze, and report data from various systems. The Data Analyst will decipher information by identifying various facts and trends. This information will be used to tell the story that the data shows in relation to Supply Chain through visuals, summaries, and timelines. Information will be presented to Supply Chain Leadership to help support decision making.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Assesses quality, meaning and overall value of data using statistical techniques.
  2. Develops and implements data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that will optimize the overall efficiency and quality of the company’s products and/or services.
  3. Utilizes raw data to identify, research, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns within a market, geographic footprint, component, or other analysis links.
  4. Interacts with key departments like Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to aid in problem solving and finding root causes.
  5. Understands the data flow and business processes captured in multiple systems and is able to merge them for reporting.
  6. Builds reports/ dashboards using Power BI.
  7. Presents reports and high-level findings to various staff and Senior Leadership that tells the story that the data shows and how it relates to Supply Chain.
  8. Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize new requests as they are presented.
  9. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

Qualifications


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

K

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related field required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related field preferred.
  • 0-3 years of Data Analyst experience in Supply Chain required.
  • 5+ years of Data Analyst experience in Supply Chain preferred.
  • Experience using reporting packages, databases (SQL based ERP Systems-Sage 500), and programming required.
  • Experience using Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics preferred.

Skills:

Language:

  • Able to read and interpret scientific and technical documents.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Able to extract information, compile into reports, and present information to all levels of the organization, including Sr. Management.

Math:

  • Must be able to input mathematical equations into Excel to show information like interest, depreciation, and statistical information like regression models.

Computer:

  • Able to perform at an advanced level in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and Access.

  • Strong attention to detail.
