Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Manager to lead the KC-46 Engineering SEIT organization in Mukilteo, WA.

This senior manager will have responsibility for integration of all Systems Engineering across the program, including Requirements and Verification, Specialty Engineering, System Integration, and Support of Aircraft deliveries. The position will focus on supporting KC-46 production and development programs for both domestic and international customers. The successful candidate will lead and manage the team performing engineering and technical activities across the KC-46 engineering life cycle.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering and Integration in support of KC-46 aircraft production and delivery, and current/new development programs.
  • Manages team's deliverables and actions per team schedules and budgets.
  • Develops and executes integrated plans, policies, processes, and procedures for SEIT.
  • Develops strategies and implements long-term SEIT initiatives.
  • Provides inputs to engineering technical strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Support study contracts, IRAD, and new business proposal campaigns.
  • Interface with BDS System Engineering leadership, and other Systems Engineering teams across the enterprise to ensure the project is properly planned and implemented, help needed is fulfilled, and lessons learned are incorporated.
  • Acquires resources for department activities.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Oversight and continues improvement of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, motivates, and develops employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management.
  • 5+ years of experience working within a fast-paced team environment, which required strong communication skills to frequently interact with leadership or internal and external customer representatives.
  • 5+ years of experience in a management position.
  • Experience with schedule and budget management, integration of all logistics elements, customer communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience and knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with building organizational talent pipeline in engineering.
  • Experience with systems engineering and integration on production and development programs.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of KC-46.
