Principal Accountabilities:

·         Management of the Accounts Payable function ensuring processes are running efficiently while proactively managing vendor terms to Fenner Precision Polymers advantage while maintaining good vendor relationships.

·         Work with Procurement, Receiving, Operations, and IT to identify and remove inefficiencies in processes which lead to inaccurate reporting and timely issue resolutions.

·         Ensure accurate and timely set up and maintenance of fixed asset items.

·         Track all capital expense projects ensuring timely close of projects to fixed assets with proper value, classification, and depreciation methods.

·         Work closely with other finance team members, operations, and procurement to ensure proper monthly inventory close and reconciliations including updates to obsolesces accruals and costing updates. 

·         Ensure accurate and timely Monthly Close process including balance sheet account and bank account reconciliations.

·         Assists in the maintenance of financial reporting systems to ensure integrity of finances based on sound accounting procedures and controls in compliance with Group Policies.

·         Maintains all G/L accounts including but not limited to a thorough review of all balance sheet accounts and reconciliations monthly and regular review of the income statement accounts.

·         Manage and develop staff as a cohesive team that takes ownership in their respective roles. Team should be focused on being responsive and pragmatic while providing relevant information that aids management decision making processes.

·         Foster an environment of continuous improvement and streamlining of processes and procedures.

·         Must display flexibility in regard to overtime during periods of peak activity.

·         Provide leadership, direction, and resources essential to maintain EHS policies, rules and work instructions as the fundamental priority in all operations

·         Actively participate in and support associate participation in EHS program activities

·         Provide timely and appropriate follow-up to recommendations made by associates

·         Review and revise policies, rules and work instructions to adapt to changing business needs

·         Set a good example by following EHS safe work practices, policies, rules, and work instructions Engage the workforce through safety contacts and floor walks that address housekeeping, safety inspections and safety observations

·         Ensure hazards, near miss, injuries, and unsafe acts and conditions are reported through the incident database

·         Reinforce safety margins through active participation in incident investigations, corrective actions managed shift changes, toolbox talks, pre-tasking, STOP WORK, and task scanning.

Education and/or Relative Experience:  (The level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.)

 

·         Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training preferably in a manufacturing company; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (The licenses, certificates or registrations that are required to perform the essential duties of this job.)

 ·         CMA or CPA preferred
