GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for Accounts Payable functions, as well as back up for accounting department functions.
COMPANY STANDARDS
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality in order to complete job duties and assignments in according to departmental timelines. This position performs all hours onsite and at all assigned physical locations of service, unless business needs require other arrangements.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations; wears and/or uses required protective equipment while working; immediately reports any safety concerns or unsafe working conditions to the Controller.
- Ensures all job tasks and activities are completed in compliance with the JM Murray Corporate Compliance Program and JM Murray mission statement, policies and procedures, professional standards, and applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Processes vendor invoices for payment, ensuring that goods and or services have been received, and that proper management approvals have authorized payment.
- Processes E-Vero reimbursement for consumers.
- Schedules invoices for payment, with approval of Controller, and publishes the necessary reports. Notifies Controller if there are impediments to completing payments, as scheduled, in a timely manner.
- Maintains a professional and productive working relationship with vendors, responding on a timely basis to their inquiries.
- Assists in supplying accounts payable input for monthly closings.
- Maintain updated fuel tax records.
- Completes clerical tasks including but not limited to filing, faxing, scanning using standard office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax, etc.
- Attends all required and assigned training and meetings.
- Conducts self in a manner that adheres to all regulations, the Code of Ethics and Company policy and procedures. Represents JM Murray and the JM Murray mission in a positive manner, treating people with respect and dignity.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree desired
Training in and experience using accounts payable applications and spreadsheets
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
Demonstrated knowledge of processing payments, vendor relations, cash and petty cash management
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel Spreadsheets, Word and Outlook
Must have excellent organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and productively in an independent and collaborative
environment
Must have flexibility to adjust to changes in priorities and assignments
WORKING CONDITIONS
Job assignments may take place indoors and outdoors, in various environmental conditions including rain, snow and cold weather.
