The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to work in our Alexandria, VA offices. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform clerical tasks in addition to other administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be under limited supervision and must be able to support various division staff in multiple geographical locations. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Provide reception & meeting support for Alexandria, VA offices
- Perform general clerical duties as assigned (e.g., copying, binding, faxing, and scanning)
- Assist with government inventory annual inventory audit requirements
- Assist with coordination and management of facility repairs and maintenance for offices located outside VA
- Contribute to team effort by supporting various tasks that may include human resources, facility security, purchasing, contracting, or accounting functions
Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three or more years of related work experience
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications
- US citizen
- Ability to obtain (minimum) Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
