This administrative assistant position will support the operations of the onsemi applications engineering offices, laboratory, and sales offices located in Livonia, MI. Job duties will include a wide variety of administrative support activities necessary for the effective operation of the electronics laboratory and office facility employing ~30 personnel in a combined office and lab environment. These duties may include:
- Performing clerical duties using Microsoft 365 applications related to engineering team activities, purchasing, material tracking, website data preparation, technical assistance request processing (Jira system), etc
- Assisting local and remote staff with planning and organizing for routine business activities (e.g., travel, expense reporting, meeting support)
- Monitoring access to the onsemi suite and attending to visitors to the site
- Assisting remote staff and/or customers with arrangements for visiting the facility
- Acting as liaison to landlord with respect to facility issues (maintenance needs, heating & cooling, etc.)
- Coordination of outside services rendered to the facility
- Monitoring and replenishing office, laboratory, and kitchenette supplies
- Managing shipping and receiving of various materials
- Organizing, tracking, and documenting the movement of product samples and support hardware through our department processes
- Supporting the local managers with routine administrative tasks
- Duties may be extended depending on the experience, capabilities, and interests of the successful applicant
- A high school diploma and 2+ years of experience in a professional office environment is required
The successful applicant will possess good PC (Windows) software skills for word processing, spreadsheet manipulation, presentation editing, and (as a stretch objective) some familiarity with technical or engineering work (for example, having successfully completed high school or community college drafting, electronics, auto mechanics, or computer programming class(es)) - Ability to exercise professional etiquette in phone and e-mail communications, as well as familiarity with business use of the worldwide web is necessary Personal attributes should include a willingness to learn, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently on assigned tasks, ability to organize and prioritize varied assignments, reliable and punctual work attendance according to standard business hours work schedule, and a desire to expand their utility and responsibility in the department
