Hexcel is currently seeking a Application Support Analyst for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Supporting Global Dynamics AX system and Global Laboratory information Management (GLIMS) system and a diverse catalog of intranet Web and Visual Studio 6 applications used for manufacturing
- Providing level 2 day to day support, break fix support, participates in improvement initiatives and small projects, develop and support integration with instrumentation, and collaborate with business team members to create solutions
- Supporting current Engineering workflow and drawing management system and a library of data driven Excel Spreadsheets and Access databases
- Creating queries and views across various database platforms to fulfill high priority data mining requests
- Documenting existing business systems and verifications and performing proper change control documentation updates
- Troubleshooting and solving complex problems
- Ensuring systems are properly maintained and compliant with supported tools including hardware, operating systems, databases and packaged application software
- Working closely with the Global Development organization and follow that team’s methodologies for documentation and code control
- Work within a global IT support organization within a global manufacturing organization spanning multiple time zones, multiple languages, and multiple cultures
- At times, adjust working schedule to support high use system or to work on systems in Europe and Asia
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer orientation; excellent inter-personal skills with experience working in a diverse multi-cultural team environment
- Ability to take on new challenges, learn quickly and identify creative solutions
- Strong SQL skills including a good understanding of stored procedures, functions, and views; experience with SQL server is a must
- Solid understanding of relational database platforms and relational database concepts
- Experience with a LIMS, ideally LabWare LIMS V5.01 – LabWare LIMS V6, reporting platforms like Microsoft SSRS, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel, Experience with Maximo, Enovia Smarteam, AutoCAD, Catia, Oracle 9i – 10G, Oracle Applications and Oracle Forms/ Reports 5.0/3.0/6i, Oracle or SQL server DBA experience is a plus.
- Software development experience with Visual Studio .Net preferred
- Ability to work in a global manufacturing organization on a global scale
- Ability to work within a global IT support organization within a global manufacturing organization spanning multiple time zones, multiple languages, and multiple cultures
- Ability to learn fast and work on a portfolio of applications that comprises a range of software platforms that may span multiple countries
