JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the General Counsel, and the Associate General Counsel, is responsible for providing legal advice to Doyon, Limited and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to internal clients on operational, commercial, contract and employment matters.
- Ensure company activities are in compliance with all relevant agreements, laws, and regulations.
- Work closely with and monitors the work of outside counsel to effectively manage to budget and drive cost effective delivery of legal services.
- Supervise technical and clerical staff, as assigned.
- Significant experience in contracts and employment law.
- Able to maintain a good working relationship with company management, directors, co-workers, shareholders and the general public.
- Knowledgeable of corporate practice and procedure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an American Bar Association accredited school of law.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a practicing attorney specializing in corporate, contracts and/or employment law.
- Admitted to practice law in the State of Alaska.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.
