We are Lockheed Martin

Performs F-22 Program technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

*Odd shifts, overtime, travel and weekend work may be required as needed. This job is for first shift, but shift rotations can be available.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

Fighter Aircraft Avionics and or Maintenance experience.

Air Vehicle Systems knowledge.

Systems Engineering knowledge.

Desired skills

- F-22 experience is highly preferred (F-16 or F-35 experience considered) Broad knowledge of fighter aircraft flight test methods, aircraft maintenance, avionics maintenance and flight test instrumentation.

- Previous Air Vehicle Systems Engineer (AVSE) or Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience

- Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level

- Technical report writing skills

- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics

- Experience with using F-22 engineering tools to include but not limited to IMIS, FTSO, FIN, DIMS, BIGMAC, JEDI & 807 File processing software.

- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license

- Experience working in customer environment and within partnered field locations

- Strong relationship building skills, focused on establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

- Possess general knowledge of other related aircraft engineering disciplines.

- Excellent customer intimacy skills (i.e. listening, understanding, questioning in a non-threatening manner, differentiating between customer’s wants and needs)

- Self-motivated, organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, possess an ability to solve application and technical problems requiring attention to detail

- Exceptional planning and coordinating skills are required.

- Ability to interface with all levels of project management is desired. The applicant must have a strong customer focus, reinforced with excellent communication skills and interpersonal skill. Above average oral and written communication skills are desired.

- Ability to work to constraints of time and budget.

- Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to learn new skills quickly

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Colorado Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
