Brand Service Specialist

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for working with the service center techs at our servicing dealers for parts, warranty and technical questions for service. Will work with and collaborate and provide feedback to the engineering and quality team. Individual must be willing to work as a team member within the service and warranty department and may be requested to assume new tasks to ensure corporate goals/initiatives are met. This position may require limited travel and support of annual sales/dealer meetings/boat shows. During our high season, individual may be required to work overtime to complete tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Process new warranty claims and Pre Auth for Harris and Cypress Cay boats as a SME

  • Trouble shooting concerns with the service teams for our dealer network and answering any questions they may have for both internal (peers & CoE) as well as external (dealer & retail end users).

  • Placing part orders for the dealers and working with our suppliers and supply chain.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in a R&D/Production environment for at least 2 years. Boating experience a plus

  • Experienced and well-rounded in Pontoon construction including engine install, wiring and fiberglass

  • Must interface well with other employees, departments throughout Fort Wayne Operations, Brunswick organization, outside vendors, dealers.

  • Knowledge, skills and experience in a wide variety of assembly related installations to include current and advancing technologies, mechanical systems, cabinetry, and electrical systems.

  • Self-starter, high energy individual who leads others and completes assignments effectively.

  • Must be committed to quality standards acceptable by Brunswick Pontoon Brands and customer base.

  • Must have a willingness to initiate and lead change.

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills required, must be a good listener with ability to guide (coach) others.

  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple products/projects/areas in a fast-moving environment.

  • Self-starter and detail oriented preferred.

  • Outreach calls to the dealer service center.

  • Ability to use a computer in a Windows based environment with MS Office.

  • Must be willing to travel as necessary.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing and lifting heavy objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds. The employee is constantly walking, pushing/pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs. The employee is occasionally squatting, kneeling, and using fine hand movements such as tightening screws, bolts, and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Environmental demands include working both indoors and outdoors and is seasonally exposed to extreme temperatures.
