Covering the Gulf Region of the United States, you will be responsible for growing the Lifecycle Services business for Emerson instrumentation. Industries include services for Rosemount and Micro Motion products in the areas of pressure, temperature, level, wireless, flow, and analytical. In this position, you will partner with customers to make the world healthier, safer, smarter, and more sustainable. This is a REMOTE field-based position located within the territory.

LOCATIONS: This position can be located in Baton Rouge, LA, Lake Charles, LA, Beaumont, TX, Houston, TX, or Dallas, TX 

As a Business Development Manager, You Will:

  • Provide service leadership for your region and assist in facilitating training to various sales channels to ensure levels of product and application expertise exists
  • Communicate and facilitate implementation of business unit sales strategies within a sales area, including participating in project pursuit and account penetration planning and execution, providing direction on target accounts based on business unit segmentation strategies, and sharing input on salesperson product knowledge and sales performance
  • Deliver strategic direction by suggesting appropriate sales and service staffing levels, leading pricing authority for major projects, and identifying major competitor strategies and regional market opportunities
  • Provide feedback on products, including input on product competitiveness and suggestions on new products and/or enhancements to existing products
  • Maintain customer satisfaction levels while monitoring pricing and discounting and providing specific recommendations for improvement

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • 4-year college degree
  • Six (6) years of industry experience; three (3) of which must be in sales or marketing
  • Ability to travel 30%+
  • Valid driver's license
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, or Technical Discipline
  • Prior experience in industrial automation and instrumentation
  • Prior experience selling and/or hands-on experience with Emerson instrumentation products
