What We Seek...

We are looking for hardworking, punctual, and motivated individuals with strong carpentry skills to join our BoxPop team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the skilled trades and have a talent in this area. This individual will be responsible for ensuring customers' orders are manufactured to world class specifications. A resourceful mindset and passion for custom fabrication and manufacturing is essential.

Job Summary and Job Functions

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures, fabricate according to blueprints and shop drawing requirements
• Determine the appropriate equipment, tools and/or methods needed to ensure customer requirements are met
• Using precise measurement tools during the fabrication process
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Utilize other hand and power tools as is deemed necessary to get the job done
• Willingness and ability to follow MIOSHA and company safety guidelines and protocols

Requirements

• Proven experience in a carpentry or skilled trades capacity
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
• Must have an eye for detail and be reliable with a “we say yes” attitude
• Self-motivated individual with ability to follow instructions and work alone, as well as, work effectively within a team

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.
• Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
• Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
• Subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
• Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
