SUMMARY
Case Manager will provide refugee resettlement and integration support for ongoing and collaborative efforts by federal, state, and local governments, NGOs, non-profits, resettlement agencies, and community organizations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Responsible for the direct management of individual refugee cases and timely delivery of core services, and consistent documentation of services to each refugee family assignment.
- Provides on-going consolation and assistance to resettlement partner staff.
- Assist in securing suitable/affordable housing and coordinate the delivery of furniture/supplies to newly arriving refugee families.
- Ability to conduct a home visit and, when necessary, transport and accompany clients to assist in their access to different government and community services.
- Coordinate initial services for arriving refugees and develop individual service plans. Continue to assess individual and household needs according to program guidelines throughout the service period.
- Collaborate with local health departments, social services offices, mental health providers, school systems and other services providers to ensure required services deliveries to refugees.
- Ensures language and cultural competency, mental health and social services in support of program.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, OR related fields with no less than 2 years of professional experience providing case management services, including refugee resettlement, immigrant support, and or non-profit operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bilingual (English/Dari/Pashto or Spanish) communication skills are required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written means.
- Ability to present a positive demeanor to individuals, their families, staff, supportive services personnel, and the general public.

- Ability to remain calm during difficult circumstances and emergencies.
- Able to effectively manage significant documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of case management services and community resources; Federal, state, tribal and territorial disaster assistance programs, housing & utility assistance and disability benefits.
- Proficient in utilizing Outlook, Word and Excel; PowerPoint, Access, Visio.
- The ability to successfully pass a drug screen and a federal background check is mandatory.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will be performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment. Travel is required to site up to 100% of the time if not local to area.
