Case Picker, 2nd Shift
Located in South Windsor, CT, the Shipping and Receiving staff is responsible for a variety of tasks each day all with the goal of ensuring all products coming in and going out are up to Tribe 9 Foods standards of safety and quality.
Work Schedule:
Working schedule is Monday – Friday from 2:30am – 12:00pm. Occasional overtime and weekend hours are required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Under direction of Shipping Manager, Supervisor, Lead or Clerk, pick sales order of multiple pallets with multiple items on each pallet.
- Check order for accuracy and quality of packaging. Alert leadership team of any damaged goods.
- Monitor and alert Shipping Manager of any inventory discrepancies.
- Stage order by safely and properly wrapping shipping pallets and properly documenting and labeling all pallets with order information and location information on pick documents.
- Place staged orders on trucks for shipment.
- Maintain constant communication and coordinate all picking of orders and documentation with Shipping & Receiving Clerk.
- Ensure equipment safety protocols and checks are conducted and log accordingly.
- Audit order filled pallets for quality and accuracy
- Transfer all items picked to staging location LaneB using correct pallet information
- Wrap and prepare pallet for shipment using all required labels and placards All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Specific qualifications for the role include:
- (2) years minimum experience working as a shipping clerk and in a warehouse environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Personable and kind; embrace Tribe 9’s mission.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sit down or Stand-up operator experience preferred.
- Ability to learn and follow various food safety programs.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to standing for prolonged periods; frequently walks, grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working and handling products, computers, or machinery. The employee is subject to assist and support up to 50 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a as needed basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate equipment if required. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and non-moving mechanical parts. The employee could have work conditions that are extremely cold or extremely hot. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
