onsemi is looking to add an energetic and strategic-minded communications specialist to the global communications division. The communications specialist roll will be located in Scottsdale, Arizona and will be a member of the corporate brand and communications department. Though employed in the corporate marketing organization, the corporate communications specialist is responsible for supporting company-wide communications internally. This is achieved through developing engaging content, intranet upgrades, streamlining communication distribution mail lists, maintaining the group’s metrics and key performance indicators, supporting the company store, working with company affinity groups and working occasionally at community relations/volunteer events. The corporate internal communications specialist reports to the brand marketing and communications manager within corporate brand and communications department.

Responsibilities:
• Working closely with members of each onsemi department to ensure open, accurate and clear communication between all levels of employees.
• Updating accessibility of onsemi’s internal website to ensure employee understanding and engagement, support SharePoint updates and redesign requests.
• Acting as the communications liaison with internal on-site committees and clubs, including the employee activities committee.
• Helping to plan and communicate employee appreciation activities as necessary and execute on communicating strategies related to these activities or events.
• Managing the employee feedback inbox.
• Maintaining the department’s metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Supporting the brand marketing and communications manager as a liaison with the company store vendor to support the online store.
• Researching international and local industry, personnel and product awards relating to our company to build a pipeline for yearly award submissions.
• Condensing, streamlining and updating company employee email distribution lists.
• Collaborating with the global communications managers to coordinate internal publication of external communication activities, leader communications and all hands meetings.
• Researching internal corporate communications tactics, processes, strategies and tools to ensure that onsemi remains competitive and streamlined with our corporate communications.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related discipline
• 4+ years of communications, marketing communications, agency experience or a master’s degree
• Self-starter with strong writing, verbal communication and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and obtain results
• A strong command of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Bonus experience and skills include SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, video/audio editing software and/or conversational/blog writing style
• Experience working in a large, technical organization is a plus
• Strength in working with colleagues across the function and developing relationships at all levels of the organization
• Should be confident and comfortable interacting with a wide range of people and personalities
• Sound knowledge of organizational communications methods, techniques and processes
• High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics
