Job Title: Compliance Coordinator

Job Summary: 

The Compliance Coordinator monitors the activities of the assigned sub-contractors on a risk-based approach to identify higher compliance risks and assists sub-contractors to comply with business requirements. The Compliance Coordinator performs routine administrative duties associated with validating that our subcontracted service providers obtain and maintain the appropriate levels of contract requirements, insurance and endorsements, have executed our services agreements and are compliant with the various State regulations concerning the payment of minimum and prevailing wage rates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reviews analyzes compliance monitoring reports and other related source documents such as USM subcontractor agreement, employee level verification, background investigations, general liability, endorsements, workers compensation insurances and W-9’s.  Reviews mentioned documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Ensures proper documentation is provided by subcontracted service providers.

Communicates with subcontracted service providers to help them understand and provide accurate and appropriate compliance documentation.

Coordinates schedules with subcontracted service providers in order to obtain compliance documentation prior to expiration.

Understands and applies regulatory and statutory insurance laws.

Participates in compliance reviews, projects and training efforts on behalf of the Compliance Team as required.

Works closely with Procurement, Legal, Risk and Operations and other internal and external groups as required.

Completes other responsibilities as assigned.


Education (HS Diploma, Under/Graduate Degree, etc.)

Four-year college degree in Business Administration or Management, or equivalent combination of experience and acquired skills.

Business Experience (prior years’ work/related experience)

Two years of compliance, legal or auditing experience preferred


Certificate in General Insurance (INS) preferred; in particular INS 21, INS 23

Language Skills

Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.

Technical Qualifications & Skills

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products; particularly Microsoft Excel.

·        Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·        Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
