If so, this opportunity is for you!! In this role you will be responsible for ensuring compliance to the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of gas transmission pipeline systems.

Here’s what you will do:

  • Serve as Regulatory Compliance domain expert for organization and primary point of contact for Federal and State regulatory agencies.

  • Provide interpretation of DOT Pipeline regulations for the Company and serve as a liaison between stakeholders such as Pipeline Integrity, Underground Storage, Gas Control Department and Operations regarding DOT Pipeline regulatory compliance.

  • Coordinate various departments in preparation for Federal and State regulatory inspections and pre-audits.

  • Prepare various regulatory filings and correspondence, including comments to proposed regulations, responses to inquiries and enforcement actions, and various other notifications.

  • Prepare and submit DOT Annual Report for Hazardous Liquid, Gas Transmission & Gathering Systems and Manage special permits, including annual reports and various notifications to PHMSA.

  • Work on sophisticated technical issues relating to pipeline construction projects and operations and Assist in the development and implementation of standardized risk control programs, work practices and Company SOPs to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Coordinate review and updates to Enbridge’s Standard Operating Procedures and Engineering procedures and Represent Enbridge U.S. on industry committees such as ASME and INGAA.

Who you are:

  • You have:

    • University Degree in Engineering or related field.

    • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the natural gas or hazardous liquid pipeline industry with compliance background

    • Project Management skills to lead program development and improvements to address changes in regulatory requirements

    • Expertise in the DOT natural gas pipeline safety regulations, state Pipeline Safety Regulations where Enbridge operates pipelines, ASME B31.8S and related industry standards

    • Excellent computer and analytical problem-solving abilities.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills.

  • You can:

    • Develop collaborative working relationships to achieve goals.

    • Influence without authority.

  • The following are considered assets:

    • 10 years of directly related experience

    • Professional Engineering designation.

    • Natural gas transmission operations experience.

    • Experience with writing and implementing specifications, standards, and procedures.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office environment with field trips as necessary.

  • Will require ability to drive a vehicle, walk around job site.

  • Travel 40% of time

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
