Job Description
Develops methods and sequence of operation, fabricates, cures, builds up and assembles various prototype plastic, ceramic and composite products and assemblies from engineering drawings, development specifications and/or verbal instructions; using ingenuity and a knowledge of plastics/composite shop practices, theory and procedures, including a thorough knowledge of the physical properties of all types of plastics/composites and their formingand processing characteristics.Develops tooling concepts and recommends changes to engineering, planning and tooling.Performs tool-proving checks on new tooling and processing concepts where an in-depth knowledge of materials is required.Performs rework of the level of difficulty of the operations described above.Must possess certifications required by the Company. Must demonstrate skills equivalent to Blueprint Reading II and Practical Shop Math. Must be knowledgeable in the use of process specifications.

PERFORMS SUCH RELATED DUTIES AS: Sets up assemblies and parts in curing equipment such as an autoclave, oven, platen press or integrally-heated tooling in order to obtain desired set and cure. Works with authorized personnel in developing tooling and parts, and assists in setting up operations on a production basis. Improvises shop aids as required. Performs duties of a Composites Fabricator and Assembler, Senior as required.

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
