Position: Compound Mix Crew Member

Reports To: Compound Mix Manager

Position Description:

  • Responsible for learning and performing all processes related to compound mixing, including but not limited to, weigh up, manually running the mixer, manning the SPM, batching, stripping, dicing and material handling. Perform machine related tasks efficiently without jeopardizing product or safety.
  • Will be required to rotate through the various types of machines and assignments on a regular basis once training is completed.
  • Will perform preventive maintenance procedures, 5S activities and participate in continuous improvement events.
  • Must maintain work area in a safe and orderly condition at all times.
  • Ensure all products meet requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems.
  • Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
  • Will be required to work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English

  • Some manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely manner

  • Must be able to work independently according to verbal and written instructions
  • Must learn basic computer transactions and inputs; must have ability to become certified SAP User
  • Must have basic math and communication skills. Must develop and maintain proficiency in required job skills
  • Must be capable of lifting or moving 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting or moving 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to distinguish different colors
