Purpose

To lead the staff execution of safe, efficient and on-time production of quality material that meets customer requirements within budget guidelines. Motivate, mentor and model Ravago Code of Conduct standards for all of the production team members.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

1. General Policy

a) Ensure all production record keeping is accurate and timely.

b) Operate extruders.

c) Follow all company procedures as well as written and verbal instructions.

d) Fill out Compounding paperwork, information boards and log books.

e) Make labels for packaged products.

f) Develops and plans tactical execution of strategic objectives within the facility.

g) Actively lead team members to solve problems, promote uptime, ensure safety, quality and reduce yield loss.

h) Work with all plant team members to promote, encourage involvement and drive continuous improvement objectives with time saving, cost reduction, increase job rates and quality improvements.

i) Coordinate and perform supervisor, team leader and production employee reviews to drive higher performance.

j) Ensure daily production schedule expectations for volume, quality, and timeliness are met and perform root cause analysis for any undesired results.

k) Implement corrective actions and preventative actions for all undesired production results.

l) Coordinate with maintenance team preventative maintenance schedules, equipment trouble shooting to reduce downtime and ensure optimal equipment operation.

m) Coordinate and ensure proper staffing of shifts, accurate and timely time card recording, certification training and ensure proper record retention.

n) Ensure the plant is clean, orderly, and safe.

o) Participate and coordinate with HR in employee interactions as necessary.

p) Be involved with Continuous Improvement Teams (CIT).

q) Participate and coordinate with HR in employee interactions as necessary.

r) Work and cooperate with Fiber Production Manager to ensure manpower and resources are utilized effectively and cohesively.

s) Drive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) improvements.

t) Put together annual budget and ensure departments stay within targeted goals and drive improvements.

u) Participate in monthly budget reviews and drive improvements for all production cost centers.

v) Follow all Quality, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

w) Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.

x) Other duties, as assigned by Plant Manager.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

1. Education:

a. High School diploma or equivalent B.S. or B.A. degree is a plus.

2. Experience:

a. 5 years of manufacturing experience.

9. Ability to operate a fork truck.

Work Environment / Conditions

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
