Part of the Aerodynamics and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) team that is responsible outer mold line of the vehicle
CFD Mesh generation and running cases: Unstructured and Structured meshing for subsonic to hypersonic flow
For wind tunnel and flight tests, assist in preparing pre-test Test Readiness Reviews, testing, and reducing the data
Assist in developing aerodynamic uncertainties from CFD, wind tunnel testing, analytical models and flight tests
Assist in documenting database updates, with verification and validation
Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college or technical school, with at least 6 months until graduation after end of internship
Has completed courses in CFD and aerodynamics
Experience in using CFD meshers and solvers such as Pointwise, Star-CCM+, DPLR, US3D, FUN3D or CFD++
Comfortable using and programming on a computer, including experience using MATLAB
Strong skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
Strong organization skills and work ethic; detail oriented
Pursuing a Graduate level degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or Aero Physics
