A Computer Engineer is a software development/support role focusing on semi-conductor/EDA design flows/tools. At Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative, production support role evaluating, developing, enhancing and debugging both in-house and commercial EDA tools and flows for the design, physical layout, and verification of CMOS integrated circuits. This role will be with the CAD infrastructure team and will specifically provide support and development for the environment and systems used for day to day design work globally. We strive to provide a robust and reliable infrastructure for globally dispersed design and CAD teams.

Responsibilities and Tasks include, but not limited to:
  • Innovating to develop tools, flows, and methodologies to increase the efficiency and reliability of our memory designs
  • Providing training, documentation, and support to end-users on new tools and methods
  • Collaborating closely with design and CAD teams

Tools and flows developed and maintained by this role include but are not limited to:

  • Script writing in Python, Bash and Skill
  • Perforce Design Data Management (including Methodics)
  • Jenkins pipeline creation and support
  • Web/MySQL
  • Project setup
  • IP protection/permissions
  • Regression testing
  • Environment/Directory structure
Successful candidates will have the following:
  • Excellent programming fundamentals are required
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills are required
  • Experience with Linux and shell scripting is helpful
  • In-depth experience in the SKILL and Python programming languages are preferred, but recent and proven experience in C, C++, JAVA, Visual Basic, Perl, or Lisp will be considered
  • Experience with Linux based databases is preferred
  • Experience with data management tools like Git and Perforce is preferred
Education:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other degrees with relevant proven experience
