Computer scientists typically work with a wide range of computing technology concepts and tools, either finding ways to innovate how we use existing technologies to develop entirely new computing technology breakthroughs.  BlueHalo is in search of the best and brightest Computer Scientists.  The successful candidate will design, develop, test, and document software code. Plans analyze, programs, and implements coding practices.

  • Develop software drivers
  • Develop software applications
  • Process digital signals
  • Develop Client/server applications
  • Analyze and implement Legacy and current processor technology
  • Analyze and implement Operating systems, architectures, and interfaces
  • Develop code using Assembly and high-level programming languages
  • Reverse engineer software/code
  • Develop embedded software
  • Communicate the status of the work
  • Peer review software
  • Moderate software peer reviews
  • Lead a Software development team and ensure work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the technical process being used on any particular project
  • Communicate plans and progress, identify potential problems, and recommend viable solutions
  • TS/SCI w/Poly
  • Ten (10) years of experience in software and firmware design, development, and testing including writing clear, concise, functioning, and fully commented code, and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of expertise (e.g., Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering) from an accredited college or university.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field of expertise may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
  • Four (4) years of additional experience in software and firmware design, development, and testing may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
