Computer Vision Software Intern


This position will be responsible for effectively developing computer vision based software components for use in larger systems as well as completion of proof of concept project development and testing. The position requires a strong technically-oriented individual who is a good communicator and enjoys working with teammates to solve complicated challenges. 


The engineer that would fit best in this position is curious, innovative, hardworking, detailed orientated, humble, honest, open-minded and driven to succeed. A successful engineer in this role would always put the customer’s needs first, and would be engaged in the work she or he completes as they recognize the meaningful impact this work will have on society. A strong customer mindset is required to understand problems that users experience and improve safety, quality, efficiency and customer experience.  Lastly, the ideal candidate is dynamic and adaptable and is open to taking on new challenges every day.



  • Develop algorithms for recognition and identification using computer vision and other software development tools.
  • Create proof of concept modules and systems to validate project and design decisions.
  • Maintain detailed schedules that support overall product schedules and properly communicate status to management
  • Create and update technical documentation, test plans, and test results, analyze results and provide conclusive reports.
  • Work on a team to complete projects with high quality while maintaining schedules



  • Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or equivalent degree program in related field of study.


Experience/Skills/Special Requirements:

  • Experience with C++ and Python programming languages.
  • Knowledge of TensorFlow or other machine learning platforms.
  • Experience developing algorithms for image processing using OpenCV
  • Fluency with Linux development environments.
  • Advanced research and prototyping experience
  • Demonstrated innovative problem solving and project implementation experience.
