The Configuration Management Analyst, Journeyman will provide Integrated Product Support (IPS) program management and life-cycle logistics support services in the acquisition and sustainment for specified weapons systems, sub-systems, and Support Equipment (SE) to Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Sustainment Group (NSG), NAVAIR supported Program Executive Office (PEO) Program Offices, Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC), Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) and Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWC-WD) customers.


Includes the following:

  • Support includes performing multiple logistics functional/elements for Product Support Management Integration (PSMI) Department, Program Office Product Support Managers (PSMs), Assistant Program Managers for Logistics (APMLs), respective Integrated Product Team (IPT) Deputy APMLs, Logistics Element Managers (LEMs), and Fleet staffs Resident Independent Logistics Support Detachments.
  • Performs the necessary functions of Configuration Management (CM) for control of technical (hardware and software) configurations of laboratory or project assets.
  • Apply Government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management, data management, reconfiguration, base lining, and other relevant processes.
  • Ensure adherence to institutionalized processes and procedures.


This position may have supervisory and/or limited management authority based on the assigned activity to include providing training as needed.


  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Acquisition Logistics Management, Business, Engineering, or Management.
  • At least three (3) to ten (10) years of full-time equivalent experience; a minimum of three (3) years out of the prior ten (10) years of program experience must include aircraft systems configuration management (CM)
  • Demonstrated program experience in the configuration management process must include configuration identification, control, audit, and status; Department of Defense (DOD) configuration management policies, procedures, review cycles, instructions, and standards; engineering change proposal (ECP) evaluations; and Operational and Safety Improvement Program (OSIP) procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience with aircraft and system avionics, subsystems, ancillary equipment, and ground support equipment development, testing, production, and operational use


  • Candidate may be required to travel away from primary location within the contiguous United States (CONUS) up to 10% of the time
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills (English)
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • The ability to pass a background Investigation and drug Screen.


Must possess a SECRET clearance


Work will primarily be performed in a climate-controlled office environment. Telework may be available depending on the specific assignment and must be approved by the company and USG Contracting Officer Representative.

The work environment may be augmented by indoor and/or outdoor aircraft maintenance industrial and/or training settings (hangar, flight-line, classroom, and other spaces) in operational Naval Aviation environments ashore and afloat under varied weather conditions.
