As the principal contractor for the Naval Communications Station Harold E Holt (NCS HEH), Raytheon Australia provides services for the maintenance and operation of critical defence infrastructure including the space surveillance telescope, very low frequency communications transmitter and C-Band radar.

To support our mission, Raytheon is seeking a motivated Configuration Management Officer (CM Officer) to join our team of engineering professionals on-site in Exmouth. If you are ready for the next step in your career, and potentially wanting a sea change, then this role is for you.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the CM Officer will help maintain product configuration, advise on system configuration control, and conduct audits in accordance with the program’s configuration and data management plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks according to the program’s configuration and data management plan.
  • Produce reports from the Raytheon Australia configuration status accounting system.
  • Support configuration control board meetings and facilitate associated reviews.
  • Support and coordinate local resources for site based physical configuration audits.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualifications in a technical or business discipline, or work toward such qualification, is desirable.
  • Requires solid communication skills.
  • Experience in a defence environment is desirable.
  • Experience with programming or coding is desirable.
  • Experience with Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) or Asset Management software is highly desirable.
  • Willing and able to travel interstate for short term assignments.

Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Australian Government security clearance. Eligibility criteria can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva.
