Summary of Position:

Configuration Technician II is responsible for the quality delivery of a multitude of technology-related services.  The Configuration Technician II will have an advanced understanding and interest in specific computer hardware, software, and mobile device technology as it applies to Denali’s Configuration Center.  This position not only requires the initiative and drive to get the job done right but the ability to teach fellow employees the proper attitude, ethics, and expectations to have as guidelines to be successful.

Essential Functions:

  • Train fellow technicians in all aspects of Configuration
  • Configuration and deployment of PC's and mobile devices
  • Use and navigation of Windows OS and MS Office
  • Navigation of folder and file structure
  • Renaming of system(s)
  • Use and navigation of Windows Mobile OS, Apple iOS, and Android OS Administration of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
  • Use of endpoint management solutions
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues
  • Disassemble and repair hardware as needed
  • Build computer images from scratch
  • Clearly and knowledgeably communicate instructions or issues
  • Formulate documentation for customer workflows
  • Lead projects and interact with customers via phone and email as needed
  • Demonstrate IT Terminology
  • Accurately record and track work as it is being done up to and including:
  • Item being asset tagged
  • Scanning items into electronic media
  • Marking items as complete
  • Keeping completed items separate from those being worked on

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.  The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.  The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.  Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer.  Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 30lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.

Lift up to 30lbs. on a regular, continuous basis

Lift up to 75lbs. unassisted occasionally

Lift up to 200lbs. with assistance

Handle a wide range of motion, often repetitive bending over or twisting

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 Years of Experience


  • An AA degree in an IT-related field is strongly preferred.
  • An A+ Certification is desired but not required.
  • Technical Skills Working knowledge of Windows OS
  • Advanced skill in written communication via email or instructional documentation
  • Working knowledge of mobile devices
  • High proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel required
  • Working knowledge of Apple OSX preferred
  • Some CMD line experience preferred Written and Verbal Skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, in English, verbally and electronically (written email)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
