Job Summary:

In anticipation of a project win the APTIM Federal Services, LLC team is looking for a Construction Engineering Technician in the Pensacola area.  We are currently seeking a construction superintendent that will ensure all construction is in compliance with design drawings and specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards. Project Field Supervision of Crafts, Subcontractors and Field Staff and overall Budget Performance as well as management of the overall site. Perform other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Monitor and implement safety and quality programs
  • Ensure project conformance to national, local and building codes
  • Implements the construction portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activities.
  • Oversees the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project.
  • Works with contractors to complete project within the given budget and schedule.
  • Must implement a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures to efficiently plan the work.
  • Subcontractor scope review
  • Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a Quality Control Manager or Superintendent working for a General Contractor on NAVFAC or USACE projects, OR a minimum of 10 years of experience working as a Foreman in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, electrical, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, or concrete on commercial/industrial/military projects valued in excess of $5M
  • 5 years of experience working as a Journeyman in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, electrical, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, or concrete
  • Specialized training for Construction Quality Verification
  • 30 Hour OSHA Construction Training within the past 2 years
  • USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors Training certification
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Valid driver's license
