SUMMARY:

The Estimator is responsible for providing estimations by gathering blueprints, specifications, and related documents in order to provide a full scope takeoff of materials to new and existing customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify material in our scope based on the plans and specifications.
  • Engage Inside Sales/Sales Support to create a professional materials quote.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up on outstanding submitted customer quotes.
  • Assist with customer and sales questions related to take-offs completed.
  • Build collaborative relationships with all functional departments.
  • Continually develop sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Attain all performance objectives.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.

· 2 – 3 years experience estimating wood frame construction.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

· Knowledge of and the ability to utilize basic technology and online tools; Experience in Plan Swift is a plus.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
