This position serves as the leader of the work crew assigned to mix & trowel rubberized playground surfacing material per customer order and industry standards while following all established safety and quality guidelines. Information is provided to the Foreman and they, in turn, call the crew to let them know where they are working. The Foreman is in charge of communicating the job details and work schedule to the crew.

Make initial contact with work crew regarding job details and schedule. Oversee and assist work crew to ensure rubberized playground surfacing material is installed properly by:

· Mixing rubber material with resin following all established guidelines

· Using wheelbarrow to transport the mixed rubber onto the surfacing being installed

· Troweling mixed material into playground surface area following all established guidelines

Adhere to and follow all quality guidelines ensuring quality guidelines are met in the mixing and installation of product. Continually check product for quality throughout the installation process.

Oversee that work crew cleans tools and mixing/troweling equipment; keeps work area organized to ensure safe and efficient work environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (hot, dirty, etc.)
  • Previous installation experience preferred; ability to lead a work crew
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to various work locations
  • Read and understand units of measure
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Must be safety-conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
  • Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements


Physical Requirements:

  • HEAVY: Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
