We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Construction Manager who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running not just on time but within budget. 

Supporting our Richmond, Virginia Operations, you’ll be responsible for management of multiple annual contracts for public sector underground utility work of various sizes and construction values, negotiating work order values with contractors and conducting bi-monthly progress meetings. We’ll look to you to coordinate with the client, project manager as well as direct inspectors, project engineers, and other CM staff as needed to ensure the contractors are performing the work in compliance with the plans and specifications. 

Your leadership expertise will be utilized by managing multiple active worksites concurrently throughout the public right of way, preparing field work directives and interfacing directly with client and residents on as needed basis to coordinate successful execution of projects. 

When you join us, you’ll perform constructability reviews and provide quantity takeoffs for construction work orders; review daily reports prepared by inspectors and record drawings provided by contractors.  Additionally, you’ll be responsible for processing monthly pay applications, processing submittals, RFI’s and other project documentation and updating program schedules and budgets.

•    B.S. in engineering or construction management.
•    Substantial years construction experience with at least 5 years’ experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager or Construction Manager is required
•    Experience with municipal sanitary sewer installation from 6” to 60” is required
•    Experience with municipal storm sewer installation 12” to 120” is required
•    Strong writing and interpersonal skills.    
•    Prior experience working in public right of way construction
