Job Summary

This role supports Electric Distribution construction project scheduling and coordinates, plans and forecasts assignments for Dominion craft and contract resources for multiple Electric Distribution locations, including project maintenance, to ensure timely services for residential and commercial customers and Company projects. Establishes, maintains, forecasts and adjusts company/contractor capabilities in the scheduling system. Develops and communicates project schedules to the management team. Provides equitable workload balancing across all resources and resolves scheduling issues. Assists in monitoring company/contractor performance, and reviews job completion to support performance reporting; adjusts, reschedules, prioritizes and/or optimizes the work plan as events dictate. Performs in the role of facilitator and trainer of new processes. Facilitates regular meetings with local Operations and Construction, Contractor Resource Management and Design to ensure timely and efficient scheduling of construction activities and reinforce adherence to process and expectations for individual contributors. Provides periodic analysis and updates for various corporate performance metrics, and coaches to improve performance. Assists with storm restoration efforts during emergency restoration efforts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

For Construction Projects Scheduler II

2+ years of experience in Project Design, Distribution Construction, Operations, Regional Operations Centers, Project Scheduling and Logistics or directly related experience in power delivery operations or crew dispatch.

For Construction Projects Scheduler III

5+ years of experience in Project Design, Distribution Construction, Operations, Regional Operations Centers, Project Scheduling and Logistics or directly related experience in power delivery operations or crew dispatch

For Both Positions
General knowledge of Power Delivery Construction and operational filed work practices, equipment utilization and work component scheduling.
Prefer working knowledge of ARM (Work Manager and Scheduler), ARCOS, Cognos, Excel and Power Point and Word.
