Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Digital Platform Engineering is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Consultant – Technical Program Manager
The primary responsibility of this role is to organize and coordinate programs, while providing strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture. The person in this role will also oversee the progression of infrastructure projects to successful completion.
Reporting to the Manager of Lifecycle Management, the person in this role will support the Digital Platform Engineering’s objective to deliver quality infrastructure projects on time and under budget.
What you’ll be doing
Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
Provide leadership to project managers, foster a positive team environment, and provide direction in ambiguous situations.
Oversee multiple infrastructure project teams, ensuring program goals are reached. Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders
Use negotiation skills, influence and creativity to achieve successful outcomes around scope, schedule, costs/budget, issues/risks, and resources.
Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a similar related discipline, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience managing IT projects, including end-to-end experience for medium-to-large projects and programs ($10-20 million annual budget)
2+ years leading a program with multiple project managers
Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
Outstanding attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture
Clear effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively with both technical and business users, team player; works well with others
Working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
Added bonus if you have
Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Experience managing projects in a manufacturing plant environment and/or auto industry
Experience as an IT infrastructure engineer or managing IT Infrastructure projects
Expertise in Project Management tools, methodology and systems
