The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:

RTX Enterprise Application Services (EAS) Corporate and Digital Applications team is seeking an experienced Planview Portfolios and Enterprise Architecture Business System Administrator (Sr. Manager, Business Systems and Transformation) to support the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the platform.

Team: Responsible for maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting Planview’s Portfolio and EA modules – often the result of Strategic Planning and Portfolio needs, end-user work requests, help desk tickets, process changes, and regular system upkeep. In addition to system administration responsibilities, the Administrator will provide oversight and support for integrations with other 3rd-Party tools, as well as, seeking opportunities to enhance the Planview tool features and functions.

Participates and contributes to process improvement initiatives by proposing and/or undertaking system configuration changes that support the overall improvement initiative. Helps end users understand system processes and usage rules, as well as, enforcing those processes and rules. Supports the Planview team in communicates maintenance windows and outages to impacted end users. Establishes and documents system support procedures, including level-1 help desk procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Configures the system to support Digital Technology needs, user requests, process changes, and improvement initiatives.
  • Perform in-depth analysis in current state setup, workflows, and capabilities with the goal of enhancing the usage of Planview to match scaled agile framework setup from Request in-take, planning and strategies capability.
  • Manages end user requests (e.g., system access requests, reports, research requests, job scheduling, etc.) and provides data analysis and queries to support IT and other business initiatives.
  • Provides guidance and enforces system processes and usage rules.
  • Performs regular system maintenance by supporting timely upgrades, communications, process updates.
  • Communicates system changes, maintenance windows, and outages to impacted end users.
  • Supports large project initiatives in the role of the system’s Subject Matter Expert. Proposes solutions related to the supported system, as well as identifies risks related to proposed system changes.

Required Skills:

Typically a minimum of 10+ years' experience working in an IT environment and having been exposed to various IT-related responsibilities and terminology and a bachelor's degree; Advanced degree and 8+ years related work experience.

  • Technically savvy with ability to quickly learn new systems and effectively assume administrator responsibilities.
  • SQL scripting or similar scripting capabilities (fundamental skills at minimum) intermediate required.
  • System analysis and process diagramming capabilities (including data analysis) and process improvement capabilities (business and/or technical) advanced required.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Present information and ideas to others clearly and understandably.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
  • Technically savvy with ability to quickly learn new systems and effectively assume administrator responsibilities advanced required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Desired Qualifications:

  • System administration/configuration of the Planview Platform or other similar SaaS PPM and EA platform administration or configuration experience.
  • Experience in process improvement – whether in a business or technical environment required.

Required Education:

Typically a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
