HP is a leading Fortune 100 technology company with a broad product and services portfolio of personal systems and printers. The company has leveraged inorganic investments to diversify and accelerate growth opportunities including recent acquisitions of Poly (video collaboration), HyperX (gaming) and Teradici (remote computing). To support such strategic initiatives, HP is seeking an ambitious, financially skilled and team-oriented professional to join the Corporate Development team. This individual will support inorganic transactions across HP’s Global Business Units acting as a trusted advisor, working closely with senior leaders to establish and drive M&A strategy, priorities, and deal execution.
Job Description
The Manager is a key contributor to the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. The position is ideally suited to high potential candidates looking to apply their skills and knowledge in a corporate setting with a global technology company.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain valuation and financial models.
- Prepare presentations that follow a logically reasoned, data supported approach, allowing executives to understand detailed analyses in the context of an overarching business case.
- Facilitate cross-functional team to execute M&A deals (including daily logistics during due diligence, financial modeling support, coordination to identify the risk mitigation measures, drafting the negotiation tactics, etc.)
- Develop and maintain strong industry and competitive knowledge.
- Research businesses, industries, and competitors for multiple workstreams using a comprehensive and self-directed analytical approach. Provide market intelligence.
- Identify, screen and value M&A and investment opportunities
- Actively participate in enhancing Corporate Development practices and processes.
Education and Experience Required:
Minimum 2-3 years in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Transaction Services or related fields, and preferably have had exposure to the technology sector. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or other related studies.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Deep financial analysis and valuations skills. Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Very strong analytical mind. Shows good judgment in making decisions and acts with a view to what is most appropriate, timely & practical
- Ability to understand abstract ideas and logically address project objectives with limited direction. Able to to determine the facts of the case and reveal root issues
- Excellent communication (written/verbal) skills. Able to convey important messages in a clear & compelling manner
- High aptitude to learn quickly, adapt to new teams, and work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail.
- High capacity for work; able to maintain performance over long stretches of time and during periods of work overload
- Experience in designing M&A and investment strategy in specific markets.

Per the California statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is 140,000 - 190,000 USD Annual. This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.
