Education/Experience: An advanced degree in manufacturing engineering / business / similar discipline or 1-3 years of experience is required. Computer-operating skills (knowledge in use of Word, Excel, Access, etc.) is essential.

Advanced Coatings, Inc. is looking for a Cost Estimator to join our team at our West Bend, WI facility. The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following:

• Interpret engineering documents such as drawings, technical manuals and technical specifications
• Examine documents (blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications) and verify completeness and accuracy of data
• Confers with document originators and technical experts, and or customer’s engineering liaison personnel, resolves discrepancies and implements required changes
• Serves as customer liaison and reports customer concerns
• Determines costs of processing products and provides quote information for customers
• Investigates problems and initiates effective measures for their solution
• Maintains an awareness of developments and technologies in the area of coating techniques, assembly processes and material control
• Provides recommendations regarding feasibility of using alternative approaches, modifying or replacing processes to reduce costs or improve quality
• Enters data and maintains related files
• Participates on improvement teams, as needed
• Other duties as assigned
