SUMMARY

Deburring is the process of removing the small imperfections known as burrs from machined metal products to create a smooth, reliable metal part. The Deburr Operator in this position will work under moderate supervision and is responsible for edge deburring, graining, tumbling, and cleaning machined parts manufactured at our facility.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Performs deburring, buffing, and polishing tasks with various equipment to prepare parts to required specifications
  • Frequently performs visual inspection of parts
  • Removes sharp edges from product using a variety of tools, including but not limited to scrapers, abrasives, and specialty tools
  • Ensures quality of all daily manufactured product and on-time delivery of defect-free products, which meet or exceed customer needs and expectations
  • Daily production of counting records. Maintain accurate records: standard operating procedures, maintenance plan and other technical documentation
  • Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner
  • Promotes good safety and housekeeping practices

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different kinds of machinery, equipment, processes and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic.  These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs.  In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection. 

 

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • ASTM F–2413 rated safety toed shoes
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses
  • Hearing protection, in specific locations
  • Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas

SALARY INFORMATION

In compliance with CA state law, the hourly range for this position is $16.04-17.04 per hour. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Carlisle Interconnect Technologies reviews factors such as but not limited to responsibilities of the position, scope of work, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal pay equity, as well as market considerations when extending an offer.
