Design Engineer

1st Shift, Salaried

RESPONSIBILITY: All aspects of product development including concept development, patent development, material selection, prototyping, product testing, customer presentation, defining manufacturing process, ensuring successful initial production run, and staying within project budget. Will meet the time constraints provided at the start of the project and shall ensure the new product is launched successfully. Responsibility to communicate effectively with project team through project duration.

Requirements:

• BSME, BSMET, equivalent engineering degree.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material & strength analysis, 2D drawing development & 3D modeling.
• Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage projects including being driven by known project constraints, due dates, and cost goals; will work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Possess a clean & valid driver’s license.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Two years engineering experience preferred.
• Creo 3D modeling experience
• Experience with FEA, product design, and hands-on mechanical aptitude
• Exposure to LEAN manufacturing
• Familiar with mechanical prints, GD&T, and Tolerance Stacks
