Description -

Responsible for the design, maintenance and support across systems and processes which enable and ensure the creation of timely, accurate and complete financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans. Drive HP financial reporting including support of HP Management Reporting platforms and processes enabling advanced and uniform Business Reporting capabilities across the markets and product groups. Provides governance & process leadership, program & project execution, and stakeholder engagement & knowledge management

Provides direction for program planning, scoping and execution; delivery of key milestone and program phases, drives alignment between various Finance Functions on their requirements and deliverables. Owns management of escalation and issue resolutions, consults with executive and senior business leaders to drive and influence strategic direction and decision-making for deployment of programs.

Manages the interlock, strategic alignment, and integration of activities with other major Finance functions and key program stakeholders. Ensures the teams meet the design objectives set out in the critical requirements by the CFO staff. Accountable for value capture and financial strategy for the broader organization.

Accountable for leading an organization of managers and individual contributors, setting overall initiatives, allocating financial and human capital for programs and projects, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of financial programs. Works closely with all CFO staff members and their staffs.

Responsibilities

  • Key Planning, Management Reporting, BI Funnel and Value Capture leader / business partner supporting all Business Finance organizations
  • Responsible for design of planning tools and integration into HPs EBP program; Key member of EBP decision board and partner to FP&A organization
  • Manage financial analysis, strategy, and value capture for L3 organization
  • Dictate management reporting process design, tool selection, and strategy.
  • Oversees the key controls within one or more domains of responsibility to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements (e.g., GAAP, SBC, AFM).
  • Manages large external vendor relationships (e.g., auditors).
  • May be responsible for significant dotted-line employee reporting relationships.
  • Ensures that the financial strategies and initiatives within area of accountability are integrated with corporate and business strategies.
  • Consults with business leaders at the EXEC2 and EXEC3 level to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope (e.g., balancing risk, approving significant deals).

Education and Experience Required

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred.
  • Typically, 12+ years of experience in a finance function or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of business.
  • Typically, 4+ years of people management experience.
