Well, look no further. onsemi's Advanced Power Division is looking for Directors of WBG Power Device Technology to help define, develop, and execute upon the power semiconductor technology roadmaps.  Reporting to the Senior Director of Technical Marketing, this role will be intimately involved in foundational technologies from concept to platform release, working with all relevant internal technical, business, and operations teams in the process. This position will have visibility to onsemi senior leadership and be expected to help establish and maintain onsemi’s technology leadership among the suppliers of WBG power devices. You will play an important role in onsemi’s exciting mission of accelerating the journey towards a sustainable world enabled by our semiconductor technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Define and develop WBG power semiconductor technology roadmaps
• Intimate involvement with all relevant internal teams in new WBG technology platforms from concept to product proliferation
• Lead industrialization efforts to ensure new WBG technology platforms are ready for production and proliferation
• Maintain dashboard of technology status and timelines for communication with business units
• Identify and define Horizon 3 projects to supplement foundational technology platforms
• Build technical collateral for internal and external customer meetings
• Provide technical training for WBG technologies
• Write and present technical papers and highlight onsemi technology differentiation
• Participate in regulatory and industry organizations
• Study end market trends and identify future Si & WBG technology needs
• Competition benchmarking & SWOT analysis
• Utilize existing device level simulation models and tools to predict device performance

• MSEE, 10+ years of experience in power semiconductor technology, device, design and applications; PhD is preferred. Experience in WBG power devices is strongly preferred.
• Awareness of high voltage and high-power conversion (DC/DC and DC/AC) design, development and applications
• Know-how around power semiconductors packages and market trends
• Work closely with cross-functional organizations worldwide in a productive team environment
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with product line, technology/new product development, engineering, and applications organizations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
