As a Distribution Coordinator supporting our Oak Grove distribution center located in Fort Worth, TX, you will responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing day to day guidance to a work group that performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Acting as logistics and technical facilitator to ensure all elements of the distribution process are coordinated in such a way that increases efficiencies, streamlines processes, and ensures customer requirements and time constraints are met

• Bringing up technical issues and systemic needs/challenges within a timely manner

• Being responsible for documentation requiring attention to detail and heightened focus on quality and compliance along with strict adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report all discrepancies immediately

• Adhering to safety policies and procedures and ensuring work areas are clean and free of hazards or dangerous conditions in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards

• Leading tier meetings to communicate best practices, establish the workload for the day, along with safety and quality topics

• Monitoring and helping to improve the performance for associates within the team

• Providing the end of day report daily

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

• 3 Years of Relevant Experience

• Work hours: 1st Shift (Monday – Friday 7:00 AM CST – 4:00 PM CST, some overtime required)

• Travel Requirements: 0%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Associate Degree in Engineering/Science/IT or Technical Certification

• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus
