This position is responsible for managing, developing and motivating Sales Consultants, implementing sales plans, achieving company and/or supplier goals, monitoring, developing and maintaining account relationships and performing various administrative duties. This position will be in the Charlotte area for the Convenience and Club division.

Job Description:

  • Manage, develop and motivate Sales Consultants
    • Develop a list of improvement or growth goals for each Sales Consultant and monitor progress
    • Provide feedback to all direct reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
    • Educate sales staff to build/improve product knowledge and sales skills
    • Establish a work with schedule with each Sales Consultant
    • Provide all tools and materials necessary for Sales Consultants to successfully complete assignments, including GoSpotCheck
    • Develop and implement creative selling ideas within your team
    • Identify and assist in the training of your potential replacement
    • Conduct weekly group and individual meetings; attend and take part in the development and preparation of meetings and presentations for the division
  • Implement sales plans and achieve company and/or supplier goals
    • Review sales versus goal progress regularly and address issues immediately
    • Assist in the development of brand sales programs
  • Monitor, develop and maintain account relationships.
    • Direct Sales Consultants to recognize new account openings and opportunities in their areas quickly to create a competitive advantage
    • Work with sales group to identify and communicate competitive market activity in the marketplace
    • Enforce the use of an organized master route schedule by the Sales Consultant to ensure frequent and consistent account contact
    • Develop list of opportunity accounts with sales team where additional management contact and energy would result in creating or improving business
    • Have an active role in building key account business and relationships in your team’s area

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and/or prior management experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all functional areas and organizational levels
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must be execution oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Go Spot Check, DIPA, and Easy Bev
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and practice safe working and driving habits

Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and a post offer physical.
