Role Overview:
The Digital Technology Engineering Support Team is looking for a highly motivated Electrical CAD (ECAD) specialist who will be responsible for application support as well as coordination and execution of deployment phases for updates and migrations. This role will work closely with engineering customers, Business Analysts, PLM architects and infrastructure specialists provide application support and manage impactful deployment changes produced through all projects under the PLM roadmap. Our digital focus is geared towards transforming our engineering tools, services, and system testing processes to help our employees and customers.
**This position can be fully remote or at any Collins Aerospace Location**
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide high level diagnosis, troubleshooting, analysis, and support for ECAD tools and PLM integration.
Actively monitor and continuously improve the production environment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability
Provide Level 1 end-user support of electrical CAD software (Mentor, Cadence) including Multi-CAD Data Management (EDM) and Integrations in development and production environments.
[endif]Performs root cause analysis, debugging problems with the CAD environment and working with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent a recurrence.
Document all aspects of system support such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting CAD instances.
With support of expert level users, define and document best practices, methods, training guides, and standard company processes.
Support System Integration and User Acceptance Testing as necessary.
Working closely with Information Technology (IT) for maintenance of ECAD applications, including review of license usage, needs, and upgrades of all ECAD applications to support all users.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Working knowledge of ECAD integrations to Teamcenter
Experience with software deployment and licensing for applications
Linux and Windows server admin experience
Ability to work with limited supervision to meet system availability and enhancement goals
Willingness to perform admin activities over the weekends and outside core business hours when required
Good understanding of Application Support processes with the ability to provide a logical, in-depth analysis of a problem or a situation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to present concepts and strategies clearly.
Additional experience with other ALM, PLM, and Engineering Tools a plus
