Job Description:
The Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) organization is seeking a qualified senior engineer for a Systems Analysis position supporting military development engines.
Responsibilities:
Perform engine test data analysis, including data reduction; component and system performance evaluation; and model updates leading to a data matched model
Coordinate performance understanding with CIPTs
Perform trade studies on hardware and software changes to achieve performance requirements
Development and evaluation of control schemes and schedules.
Stability auditing; verification and documentation of engine transient response; verification and documentation of engine starting capability.
Help with closure of technical issues during engine test.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers
Prepare and present results to EDSIT and SIPT.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or An Advanced Degree in Engineering and minimum 3 years experience.
Potential travel for test coverage.
Off shift support required when at test.
U.S. Citizenship due to government contracts.
The location for this position is East Hartford, CT or West Palm Beach, FL
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
This position is highly inter-disciplinary and collaborative, requiring excellent communication skills.
Development engine test experience.
Performance and/or operability experience.
Knowledge of cycle analysis and engine matching
Experience with Unigraph, NPSS, Matlab, Python, and ITE.
Knowledge of control logic and control schedules generation.
Familiarity with development engine instrumentation.
Experience in communicating with internal and external customers.
Active Security Clearance preferred; willing to obtain and maintain
